I’ve heard songs that use profanity just to fill space, and seen nudity used just to shock. But when either is sincere—when they’re telling a story—it’s different.
I don’t listen to music for noise. I listen for meaning. I guess that’s how I experience nudity too.
It’s not about what’s exposed. It’s about what’s expressed.
That’s why I don’t mind being nude, but I still skip songs full of forced vulgarity. I’m not offended—I’m just bored.
Nudity doesn’t need to scream to say something.
Sometimes the quietest presence is the most powerful.
